Pauline Affatato

I am broadly interested in evolutionary neuroscience. I come from France but did my undergraduate studies at Stony Brook University where I majored in Human Evolutionary Biology, I then continued studying Evolutionary Biology during my masters program in the Netherlands and Germany before coming back to the US where I wanted to focus more on neuroscience.

I am studying the evolution of neural circuits through comparative neuroanatomy between salamanders and mice. I am interested in cortico-basal ganglia-thalamic pathways and I am mapping them in salamanders using neuronal labeling and tracing tools.
