Full Research Description

I graduated from the University of Utah's Biology Department in 2017 with a degree in Biology including an emphasis in biochemistry. During my time in Salt Lake City, I worked in Dr. David Blair's lab studying the structure and function of the bacterial flagellar motor from a biochemical and biophysical perspective. I also had the opportunity to work for a biotechnology startup in Salt Lake attempting to develop novel methods for recombinant protein expression.

At Columbia I hope to build upon what I have learned and apply it to interesting questions. My goal is to use biophysical and biochemical techniques and ideas to answer fundamental biological questions.
