Research Description

I graduated from Brown University in 2020 with a BS in Biology, sub-specializing in evolutionary biology. During undergrad I was involved in a number of research projects at UPenn and Brown ranging from biophysical studies of heart disease to life history evolution in host-parasite systems. Following undergrad I helped set up and manage a SARS-CoV-2 surveillance testing and sequencing program in New Orleans, LA.

Working with rapidly evolving strains of SARS-CoV-2 strengthened my interest in studying evolutionary processes, particularly the genetics of adaptation — but I’m looking forward to exploring the wide breadth of research Columbia has to offer!
