Full Research Description
I grew up in Southern California then moved to the Bay Area for college and received my Bachelor’s from UC Berkeley in Molecular Cell Biology. As an undergrad I studied plant and fungal pathogen metabolic interactions in the lab of Dr. Mary Wildermuth.
After graduating, I became a technician in Dr. Jennifer Doudna’s lab working on developing a lentivirus-based packaging system to deliver preassembled Cas9 ribonucleoprotein complexes for transient editing in mammalian cells.
I have broad interests in genome instability and rearrangement, cell signaling, and DNA repair pathways, but I’m excited to explore everything Columbia has to offer!
