Lecturer of biochemistry
Dr. Ho received his BA in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of California, Irvine where he studied X-ray crystallography and peptide structure. He completed his PhD at Columbia University in New York City where he specialized in biochemistry and molecular biophysics. His dissertation work focused on reconstructing 3-D structures of macromolecular complexes in the cell. From these models, one can elucidate crucial binding sites of ligands, hopefully leading to strategic, structure-based drug design. He has extensive research experience in X-ray crystallography, protein structure and function, and cryo-electron microscopy.
