Sahin wins ONR Young Investigator Award

Congratulations to Associate Prof. Ozgur Sahin, who has won a 2016 Young Investigator Award from the Office of Naval Research. The Young Investigator Award is given annually to researchers “whose exceptionally creative research holds promise across a range of naval-relevant science and technology areas,” and “whose scientific pursuits show outstanding promise for supporting the Department of Defense, while also promoting their professional development.”

Prof. Ozgur Sahin investigates biological systems that function under physical extremes like short timescales, confinement to nanoscale regions of space, and high mechanical forces.
