Title: Interphase chromosome dynamics tracked by CRISPR-based imaging

Abstract: The genomic DNA is not randomly distributed in the nucleus, and  it is not well understood how the chromosomes are spatially organized, and how this changes during cell cycle progression or in response to external stimuli.  I have developed a series of CRISPR-based imaging techniques termed CRISPR-Color, CRISPRainbow and CRISPR-Sirius to precisely map genomic loci and track their dynamics.  I am currently applying these methods to study chromosome compaction and repositioning during cell cycle progression and cellular stresses.
