Course Description: 

CC/GS: Partial Fulfillment of Science Requirement
Students may receive credit for BIOL W3031 or BIOL C3032, but not both due to overlap in course content.

Prerequisites: BIOL C2005-C2006 or the equivalent.

General course in genetics and genomics dealing with principles of gene structure, function, regulation, and transmission. Historical development, experimental basis of current knowledge, and roles of model organisms are stressed. Includes a thorough understanding of disease gene discovery, and an introduction to topics in developmental, cancer, and population genetics.
